Freeway toll charges:
Hungary:
You will require a car sticker for the freeways M1, M3 and M7. The car stickers are issued at all border crossings and at the Hungarian AA (Automobile Association). The car stickers are also sold at many petrol stations.

Cost per passenger car upto 3.5 tons:
Weekly car sticker: 8.80 euros
Monthly car sticker: 14.80 euros
Penalties of around 450 euros will be charged if you are found without a valid car sticker.

Slovakia:
Car stickers are compulsory (the distance from Hungary is only around 100 km). The car stickers are issued at border crossing points, post offices and at some petrol stations.

Cost per passenger car upto 3.5 tons:
7-day car sticker: 3.75 euros
Monthly car sticker: 7.50 euros

Austria:
Car stickers are compulsory on all freeways. The car stickers are sold at border checkpoints, petrol pumps and are also issued by the Austrian and German Automobile Associations (AA).

Cost per passenger car upto 3.5 tons:
10-day car sticker: 7.60 euros
2-monthly car sticker: 21.80 euros
Penalties of upto 1,000 euros apply if you are found without a valid car sticker.
